I don’t know if there’s some acoustic phenomenon that non linearly increases the noise footprint if you increase the number of engines producing the same number of decibels.
Does the 767 have the same exact engine, or a variant with a slightly larger fan? Ratio of bypass air has an effect on noise. Many variables at play.
