I wouldn’t think that 4 engines producing the same decibels would compound the noise level. Let’s say they’re at 90 dB. Do 2 producing 90 db’s each produce more noise than 4 producing 90 db’s each? I don’t know if there’s some acoustic phenomenon that non linearly increases the noise footprint if you increase the number of engines producing the same number of decibels.
