Like the Irish farmers during the potato famine. They had it coming. They should have negotiated a better deal.
Some would argue that being compensated hundreds of millions of dollars is an entitlement for being at the top of the food chain. It's not an argument that wealth needs to be evenly distributed, but rather what is fair? Greed is a great motivator, but at some point the financial gains of a few yield little benefit to society.
