it's 55%-60% at my airline and yes, i think it's fair. the captain gets paid more because everyone comes to him when something goes wrong. if i assume the responsibility, i want to be paid for it. you want 80% to sit there and operate the controls. being a captain is far more than that.

and thanks for the warning. i'll be sure to look for knives in my back from guys like you. funny thing... when *I* was a first and second officer, i never thought about the captains i flew with like that. must be a personal problem of yours.
