Most west coast commuters would prefer LAS over LAX. I would imagine the only guys that would bid LAX would be the SoCal guys and maybe a few NorCal commuters. LAS is a really easy commute from any major city out west. Tons of flights, not a legacy hub (very little JS competition), minimal weather related issues, cheap hotels, etc. As far as commutes go, LAS is about as good as it gets.
