In the history of Continental Airlines it never made a penny unless they held a labor cost advantage. Translation: you'll never make the industry standard wage. This so called "best job in the world" pays you 30% less than the industry standard. Not so great if you ask me.

Also, when was the last time CAL paid a dividend on their stock with the labor cost advantage they held? Get this: It was like February 1968.

Sure, it's the best job in the world if you never wanted nothing, or didn't have any goals. Sure, it's the best job in the world watching Gordo snag 3 blondes a night, drink a scotch, and ride his Harley that the dumbass employees of CAL bought for him.

Let me be the first to offer an honest to goodness assessment on this post.

It's people like YOU that gave CAL pilots sub par and below industry standard work rules, pay and benefits in the first place.

Scabs, scab sympathizers, and management sucks ups to Fred Abbot, Fred Stankovich, Debbie McCoy, and even Gary Smallsack were the reasons CAL couldn't spell U N I O N, Friggin Ops Group...yeah those were the glory days.

Was the FUPM bracelet tacky? Your damn right it was. But, it was a symbol of UP YOURS to management and UP YOURS right back to the CAL MEC who were so scared of their shadows they couldn't move the ball. Thank GOD almighty we merged with Legacy UAL. You still wouldn't have a damn contract at CAL. We had to be saved from ourselves because of attitudes like yours.

When the company moves money from long term investments to short term investments and cries "liquidity shortfall" and tricks your union into taking concessions and freezing retirements just so the scabs and the age 60+ flight instructors who got super seniority because only the IAH certificate management office of the FAA would allow them to move back you gotta be kidding me, you gotta not only get a FUPM bracelet, but you gotta get some hats too.

Noting at all unprofessional about calling management out for flat out lying to the pilots. Now, lets talk about PBS, and Jacque Lapointe (google that dude why don't you?) He still running the cash show for crystal river capital. Guess who lost all your money on the A fund and in fuel hedging? Guess who didn't hold this bum accountable. yep, you guessed it the so-called "professional non bracelet wearing CAL pilots and milk and cookies CAL MEC.

I can't think of a time post merger when I have been so angry as I was tonight when I read your most insane and wacked out post.

I'd rather fight and lose a good fight than tuck my tail and hide from management during a contract fight. The bracelets were badges of honor. Shows management you mean business. When your union won't put their nuts on the table and fight, we gotta find people who can and will.

My prediction was absent a merger you were getting ready to see a house cleaning of the CAL MEC. The nonconfrontational mindset is exactly what Kellner wanted and needed. He didn't have the personality to withstand a roll in the mud with us. The militants were awakened, and they were getting ready to run people out of that MEC building.
