why do you think a masters degree is going to help you when a bachelors is all that’s required. Of all the things to exceed the minimums on, I’d put the degree requirement pretty far down the list. Work on check airman, safety position, etc. while you network heavily to get a PE before you waste time getting an advanced degree unless you just want one for other reasons. That’s definitely not the key to getting a call from FedEx.
As much as I wish this wasn’t true I think that it is, at least for the typical white male applicant that a major carrier will consider. I have a bachelors, masters and doctorate. I’m not holding my breath that it’ll make much of a difference except to check the “4 year degree rule” box.
