That was my take away too. At first I was surprised by some of the highly qualified people that didn't get the job. Then when I went through the HR portion I understood. The only landmines they have are personality ones. They try to get under your skin to see how you handle conflict. They want people who can deescalate situations. While I don't think mind games should not be used for important career interviews, I do see the benefits of hiring pilot group that knows how to keep an upset passenger from starting a Twitter war.
It's not even that they try to get under your skin. They hand you the shovel and let you think they are trying to get under your skin if you're willing to let the demons in your head go there. Dig if you're looking for it...
