Just because someone could get on a list faster somewhere else does not make it a wiser move.
A new hire at Spirt, Jetblue, and many others would likely take much longer to upgrade, hold a line etc. than at Frontier.
Those in the pool at Frontier are in a decent spot given the growth ahead. I would say it is wise not to give up their spot, unless it was for a favorite legacy carrier.
You must be new. You alway, always, always go to the first airline that hires you. If you wind up with a class date at another carrier at a later date then you reevaluate and go from there. Never, ever, wait on the sidelines. Bird in hand sort of thing.
