Personally I am okay with lowest bidder aka M&H uniforms. Maybe it’s just me but I would rather have a bigger pay rate or PS check versus a Mercedes of uniforms. Which brings me to your meals complaint. Ask a DL guy what meals they get. You know that airline that gets those much larger PS checks than we do. The answer you get might surprise you.
Considering we spend our entire working life in that uniform, up to 14 hours per day, I would prefer a quality build and design.
If money is an issue then let’s eliminate crew meals and put that towards our paychecks. The less airplane food (lets call it what it is) you eat, the better. We’ll be spending more than DLs profit sharing in healthcare-related expenses and larger clothes sizes, if we continue to rely on crew meals for proper nutrition.
