You're doing it wrong, and hosing people senior to you. Check the FOM, pilot seniority should be used for jumpseat priority. There's actually no glitch to fix, it's up to the pilots themselves or the captain to do the right thing.
What does the GA put into their computer then? I've always just handed them my badge and they take care of it?
Having to clarify that the DOH written on my badge is "wrong" every time I JS seems like a royal pain in the a**.
