Well its 1am.....bored....and the current love interest has busted me down the the "Best Friend" category...so what did i do? i sulked for a bit...cracked open a beer and wrote a song about flying...its to the tune of Billy Joels "Down Easter Alexa"....if you havent heard the song, go to youtube and hear it first...then read my lyrics....hope you guys enjoy it!

Well I'm a First Officer for Air Wisconsin
And I'm climbing through 10,000 Feet
We have diverted once due to weather
And I’m sure the passengers will give us heat

We took on jet fuel back in Raleigh yesterday
And left this morning as the sky was turning gray
Like all the FO’s here a crash pad is my home
I’ve busted my ass and worked my fingers to the bone

So I could fly my CRJ-200
And I fly where the radar is bleak
There are four more legs left in our pairing
And a good flight crew can't fall asleep

I've got loans to pay and children who need clothes
I know there's RFP’s out there but where God only knows
They say this airline isn’t what it used to be
But I've got passengers at the gate who count on me

I’ll miss my flight and my fresh home cooked meal

More and more miles from home every year
Since they tell me I can't have my contract
The Union says that a strike could be near.

I am a pilot like my father was before
Can't make a living as a pilot anymore
There’s no more glory in the Airline Industry
Is there a future left for AWAC guys like me???
