Day one in the FTD....you'll be briefed weather that is flirting with mins, in icing conditions with special procedures out of some place in Europe with a goofy departure. The sim instructor will drop a logbook in your lap with a couple stickers on it....hack his watch...."Alright fellas, 45 minutes to be off the gate!". Oh, your PV is 6 days away.....
That’s why I said get the CBTs done before you arrive... or indoc week at the latest.
Every minute you spend in the sim doing the cockpit prep is a minute you aren’t “flying”. If two students can do it in 35 minutes versus 45 minutes that’s 20 minutes of extra sim per session. After 3 sims you have an extra hour in the sim “flying” versus setting up.
