You are correct, but what are you gonna do about it? I've had CS call me, saying the airport was looking for me, while I was standing at the gate with no one around except the CA and I. And yes, I had checked in on the app. Silliness.
I've also had flights cancel and CS unaware of it, and they called me and asked me why I wasn't at the plane. You know, the plane that never arrived.
