I am trying to gather some opinions on how to better my chances for getting selected for interview.

In short, I am JetBlue A320 First Officer with 8500 TT and 2000 TPIC. According to a new system bid at JetBlue I should be able to upgrade to E190 Captain but I am a bit worried that this could put me at disadvantage when it comes to getting the interview at United.

According to some of my United friends, it seems that United doesn't like high time Captains and I am worried about building more TPIC than I already have. Is this something that people on this board share a consensus with?
