I don’t disagree with you. I was just making a point to the OP that 2000 TPIC wasn’t that much. Avoiding PiC time because you “think” your airline of choice wants this or that is just a plain bad strategy.
This isn't a decision I am taking lightly. Quite frankly, when I started out in this business TPIC was king and almost no one got hired without it. I spent 7 years in the right seat of an RJ waiting for my turn to get the "golden" 1000 TPIC but things changed and I saw many of my low time FO's leave for United or Delta while many of of the high time guys such as myself where hearing crickets.
