Who is getting thrown under the bus? Maybe I'm reading you wrong, but you seem to be taking offense here. I didn't drop a name over the Internet, I didn't even go to ProStands
this time. As far as professional anything, that CA should know better than to fly that damn sick, flying through course with another jet at our 12, not having the situational awareness to slow and configure and being way off from stable at 1000 feet. I'm still a low-time pilot but I was well ahead of the veteran captain on these. We certainly did debrief on the two different approaches, it wasn't until after the trip I really got to thinking about him being that sick and the effects of it - which is why I haven't gone to prostands. I have nothing against him in any way, had flown with him before, but if you're sick call out! For safety reasons and the crew flying with you doesn't want to get sick either because of you. Applies to everyone, myself included.
On a better note, BLS, those kettle corn flavored chips are a nice addition to the baskets!
