Under the current MOU regarding fatigue, you are pay protected (or are supposed to be) until you aren't which means you can't pick up something to cover a potential loss. Not the best of negotiated terms but hopefully the current negotiators can rectify that.
As I understand it, You can’t pick up over the footprint of the trip you for which you called in fatigued. But you can still WS or GS after that.
