Every operation hires “captains”; not to start, but as their future captains. Seeing you didn’t cut it twice will lead to lots of questions as to ability to be a captain, especially as it was during OE, not a rating check. A rating sim check has a time compression, emergency procedure element that makes a bust more understandable. In OE, you have more time, more control over events.
Yes, you might get an opportunity at another regional, but it will always be an interview issue, if you get the call.
