Flex has a PBS I think that can allow for 3-4 day trips but not sure how great it is.
My average overnight is almost 16 hours on the 7&7 on the Global. That isn't the case for most fleets, but averaging 14 on per day has never been the case at NetJets. Plenty of pilots loved to complain and say they were working 14/10 all the time, but the duty reports refuted that even in the bad times. When I was on the super busy XL during the Hansel punative scheduling for all days, my average overnight was around 11 hours. That was the worst of times. My best guess now is that the average duty day is between 10 and 11 hours on now with close to 14 off with the FDP program evening out the flying fleet wide. Part of that duty on time is also often at the hotel like others have mentioned. The company has gotten better at scheduling pilots to get a lot of flying out of reasonable duty days. There is also the fatigue call any pilot can make any time without getting fired. All that said, if you want to fly for the majors, suck it up and ride the regional train there. 121 gets the time and experience that the majors want the most.
