Remember the hype when the 787 came out. New routes, point to point etc. Didn't happen. Doubt it'll happen with the XLR.

I have some family in the BOS area that works in pharmaceuticals. They spend a fair amount of time in Europe on business, traveling on European carriers because that’s who seems to serve the BOS transatlantic market.

And while I concede your point on the 787, at the same time AA has only a fraction of the planned fleet on property. So, maybe, maybe not.....
