First, get long call out of your mind. It’s only a starting and end point.
Second, the day prior to starting a RAP you don’t answer your phone! Now you see an aggressive pick up, have at it. When they take it away from you, don’t answer the phone. Once contact made then yes 10hrs! Until 1800. Then acknowledge by CCS only. Past midnight, then you answer.
Third, plan your commute to be within 2.5 hrs of base at start of SC. Or if you are a gambler, arrive at base 2.5 after SC starts.
So you’re question is moot. Stay home until you have to make a morning sign in. More likely plan on day 1 SC/FSB starting when you select it. (Question 2, yes) Don’t want to select, not to your liking, they’ll assign it to you.
