I saw that. Seems they hawked 23 airplanes (1/4 of the fleet) to pay for something. I'd say another resort at the risk of being called a negative d-bag by some jet kid who has had 2 flying jobs in his life and never been furloughed or had 2 airlines collapse under him. When you've been around as long as I have, you pass on the kool aid and see things as they actually are. Pawning $220 million dollars worth of airplanes to buy anything except more airplanes is not good news for people who want to work for an airline. We will have to see how this story develops. It could either be really good or really bad. Let's hope its for a bunch of new jets.
Maybe I'm drunk on Kool aid, but I think they previously secured up to 1 billion for building resorts, of which they are only spending about $200 million on attempt #1.
