The plan I think has been (for years now) for Envoy to eventually be all E175, Piedmont to be all E145s, and PSA to be all CRJ 7/900. If PSA grows in DFW it will most likely be at the expense of Mesa. And I would imagine you’d see PSA, Envoy, and SkyWest likely to pick up all the Mesa flying if AA decides to end their flying with them.
AA would likely transfer the AA-owned 900s being flown by Mesa to PSA and as the contracts on the remaining 900s come up they would be replaced by new 175s at Envoy. So if anything I think Envoy will likely grow in DFW as well if any such scenario played out like that. Meanwhile more 145s would be transferred to Piedmont to cover more short east coast flying.
This is how the scenario goes down in my opinion as well.
