I peg Derp as a late summer/early fall 2018 hire. There was a trickle of DFW 175 assignments ahead of him, and then he/she got hired into the upswing as more planes starting hitting the line at DFW. He got a line quickly while his 145 classmates are still on reserve.

Basically, he is the guy who walked up to the slot machine and won on the first pull, and now is telling everybody how great slot machines are.
