Commuting to LAX is complicated by the need to cover other locations such as ONT or SNA which are not easily connected to LAX (hint: avoid bidding the Bus). For SFO, it is pretty easy to get to SJC for trips or OAK when commuting. Also, not a lot of UAL metal between LAS and LAX so you are at the mercy of whatever carrier you are commuting on. Approx 6-9 flights a day from LAS to SFO on UAL, you may get Jonesed for the JS at the last second by a senior UAL pilot... but it will be rare and you will have home field advantage otherwise.
Don’t hold your breath with a completion date of 2027, just in time for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
