I can see it now; Spirit to replace Airbus aircraft with the Boeing 737 Max that is still grounded with a return to service date still unknown.
Who knows? Maybe that is why an announcement is delayed - waiting for better news/PR related to the MAX program before an announcement. Or maybe it is just tough negotiating. I doubt a full fleet replacement will happen but you never know.... The IAG order for 200 MAX was a surprise too.
