Does that flow calculator take into account that not everyone flows to AA? I'm sure most Envoy pilots have their app in at DL, UA, FedEx, UPS and if none of those happen end up flowing to AA. Some Envoy pilots get hired at AA outside of the flow.
I was a SkyWest guy and loved it there. My daughter is going through pilot training now and I'm suggesting Envoy to her. It took me almost 10 years to move on and I had a 4 year degree and clean record.
The flow calculator is pretty accurate. It doesn't take into account attrition to other carriers, but it also doesn't take into account the months that AA skips hiring etc when no or very few flows are sent. So ultimately a wash.
Someone being hired today would be anywhere in the 7-9 year window. Probably somewhere in the middle.
