I'm a guard guy, mid-20's with just under 1,400TT and around ~420TPIC in the -130. A few college degrees, with my M.S being done soon. I'm at a regional whose future is apparently 'iffy' in the upcoming year.
My question is: Would you guys/gals recommend staying put at the regional, which I could upgrade to the left seat in ~6 to 9 months from now and build a lot of time in the next few months, or make the jump to an LCC(G4) and build some time there in the A320 as a better option towards working on getting on with the big boys? G4 is a possibility with things already moving along in the process with them.
At this point, it seems more TT would be more significant of a goal than anything else to help me achieve the dream of making it to a major...I currently live in my guard town and commute; G4 would assume a short move to live in domicile and commute to the guard. Either way is doable for me.
Thanks!
I’d recommend moving on to the LCC.
