How is the training laid out? Saying you only get 7 sims can be misleading if it’s aqp and focus’ on what’s needed. I would rather have 7 sims that focus on airtime vs 10 where 1:20 of each 2 hour flight is gate prep, taxi, aimless flying in the middle. after landing checklist and taxi.. all to practice an ils. There are airlines that give more sims but have you wasting tons of time. If gate prep, flows and ILS are all to standard why waste time doing all of them to practice landing flare?
We only have a few of the sims in the level D sim, but I think it adds up to about 25-30 hours.
A lot of time is spent in procedure trainers before wasting time in the sim. All of your flows, checklists, memory items, and procedures are all done before touching the level D simulator.
