Sounds like a cool idea. Not sure how much traffic it would get though. So many of the guys I interact with in the type-club face book pages and web forums are airline guys. Already a lot of conversation there. Last type club fly in I went to probably half the guys were SWA/UA/Delta pilots.
We started a GA forum on our airline's message board, and it gets a fair bit of traffic. I would think there would be exponentially more traffic if it there was a GA forum for pilots of ALL airlines!
