I thought that SWA was strong enough to make future opportunities a wash, but it’s not. SWA is just a discount airline that relies on their employees to continually get the job done despite not setting us up for success on a regular basis. As a pilot, I don’t feel that management cares much about us. I’m sure it’ll be similar at AA, but at least in 5 years I can complain about it as a CA or WB FO instead of in a 737 overnighting in LBB multiple times per month.
I think this is a good call. Great group of new guys/gals. The pilot group will be VERY unified soon. There are two Facebook groups you should join when you’re in class here. Welcome aboard.
