You may have seen these new signs hung in motorcycle parking areas. They're covered in black plastic for now, but here's what's underneath.
I called the parking office. They had no idea when the effective date would be for the new motorcycle parking rules. The lady I spoke to couldn't tell me where the new parking would be, except that it was on the south side. I saw the same (plastic-covered) signs posted on the south side that have gone up on the north side, so who knows??

Here’s my take on the Port’s history towards people, in general:
• Closed the South parking lot, with some sort of grandiose plan. A decade later, nothing has happened.
• Rental cars purged from the lower level, sent to a remote lot. The bottom level is now available to people with Port business.
• Bottle-necking the arrivals level, at great inconvenience for travelers and their rides, to make room for buses to the remote rental facility. Also, Port VIPs and cops get to park there now.
• A truly ****ed-up ride share system.. WOW.. They could not have created more confused travelers than if they’d written all their signs in Sanskrit.
• Do they want employees to go “green?” Sure, they made 12 out of 4,000 employee parking spaces for electric cars. Go green!
I have to conclude that the Port hates everyone who isn't Port. It's a long-standing pattern. They don’t care how fuel-efficient your motorcycle is. They don’t care if your car is electric. They want you on the bus or the train. That’s it.
Here's a picture from last night. It's the line of poor SOBs AFTER we'd filled up the bus and closed the doors.
