Only did red-eyes as a reserve and I hated them. You are never able to sleep on the layover.. invariably someone is in the hall at the hotel be it housekeeping or whomever. And far too often housekeeping would be banging on the door asking what time you would check out, running the industrial strength vacuum cleaner into the walls...
