Although it will cost more, you might be better off going on roomster or craigslist to find a furnished room for rent, which is what I did when I was on reserve as FLL is junior for us.

Just out of curiosity, is FLL junior over there? It's not a particularly great airport for commuters for a myriad of reasons, and definitely the most expensive I've ever experienced as a commuter.
