More important IMO, is recent experience: Seem to use A-300 and 757 sims the most. If a regional, corporate or military single seat driver, then scan would be the consideration. It would be different than currently flying spatially. Coupled with lack of experience in A300/757 sized aircraft, may assist the profile performance to accomplish sim prep. If flying similar a/c then not as critical to obtain sim prep IMHO.
If not stabilized and safe to land in the sim... DONT, go around. Demonstrate safety
