I think the NC committee did the best they could, given the following unfortunate realities:
1. Very flawed MEC strategy and message.
2. Very weak low self-esteem pilot group who had low-expectations and didn't know how to conduct themselves in a labor dispute.
3. First contract. That doesn't mean EVERYTHING, but it does mean something.
4. The opponent they faced, which few understood until it was too late. Which circles back to point 1.
The NC themselves was not the main problem.
Just my opinion of course.
