Show my a complete syllabus at any airline that trains diverts to the extent that a CAT III ILS is trained. You won't find any. A CAT III ILS is a known, easily flow, and well-trained procedure. A divert due to unexpected weather is anything but.

And I don't know which LCA's you've been flying with but the one's on my jumpseat are usually spending a good chunk of time explaining how I can save fuel. ACF 90, ACF 95, single-engine taxi, etc. I don't know of too many LCA's that are preaching to add fuel "just in case." But perhaps there are, as you say, some "excellent LCA's" that preach that you "add gas", is that part of the training syllabus? Is every new Captain flying with these "excellent LCA's"? Seriously?
