No merger between the two. UAL seems to be setting up the same type of deal that AA has. Own a few regionals and keep them separate. C5 will be the 145 operator and Xjt will be the 175 operator.
ExpressJet has the best E145 operation in the industry and United either does not grasp that simple fact or doesn't care. Safety has never been a priority for United regional partners. C5 had a crash landing this past winter and United rewards them more flying.
