How on earth could the Comair MEC override Delta management, and require Delta pilots to resign seniority. That's absolutely legally impossible. If you were required to resign your seniority to work at Comair, that was a Delta management decision alone. The Comair MEC only supports that position.
The part that mattered was that the Comair MEC very vocally supported that decision. It may have also been in their pilot contract in which case the MEC did have a say in it.
