What the majors want:
Pilots who see the requirements to get hired laid out before them and then set out to accomplish those requirements.
What the majors don’t want:
Pilots who see the requirements laid out before them and then say, “I have a lot of hours. Your requirements don’t make sense. You should offer me a job because I have a lot of hours.”
What the majors REALLY don’t want:
Same as #2 but with several “4-engine-jet” references sprinkled in there.
