Well if we are being factual...the junior CA now is still a 2011 hire. The 970 guy (actually 977) is awarded CA in 19-3 but likely wont see CA seat or pay until March or April of next year. So another 7 months from now...the junior CA is the 970 guy.
Exactly! Bragging about someone who “will” advance versus someone that “has” advanced are two different things.
Might as well just start logging all your time as jet PIC. Or better yet, go apply for a loan and tell them what your pay rate “will” be. Watch their heads spin. Just like the rest of ours when we see all the gloating and bragging about the most junior CA “award”.
Go to a real airline and see the time that lapses from when a pilot is “awarded” a position and when they advance.
