Hijacking this thread with a similar question. Assume I were to flow to AA in 2.5 years, and I wanted to live somewhere between Tampa and Port Charlotte along the coast. Would driving to MIA on a 3+ hour drive be better than trying to fly from Fort Myers, SRQ, or TPA? Is AA even the best bet for someone looking to live in that area long term? I know allegiant is an option, but that seems like a hard pill to swallow with a flow date not too far off. Living near DFW now so I have only heard horror stories about the Florida commutes. Thanks for any insight in advance.
