Agree it is hard to answer, but both fleets have/are adding aircraft and are growing at about 100 pilots a year. It is hard to answer because reserve can go relatively senior and they have reduced the number of reserve lines. But a lot of reserve is handed out during the secondary process. I have talked to several new hires in the 76 who seem to agree you can hold a crappy line after 4 to 6 months.
If Connection Pilot is asking the question because he doesn’t want to sit around a crash pad in Memphis my guess is some of the crappy lines will have you commuting to and spending quite a few nights a month in Memphis. Reserve might not look so bad.
Well I live in BNA so a few nights in MEM isn't such a big deal. It was more of a gathering information post. Thanks for the response though.
