1. Don't focus on any particular major, unless your dad or uncle is in senior management. You'll end up working somewhere else anyway, possibly a better place, where you never expected to wind up. Cast a wide net, and take any offer you get... it might be the only one you ever get.

2. Almost any regional is as good as any other if the geography works for you and the upgrade is quick (most are right now). Avoid regionals which would suck forever if you got stuck there. Nobody has positive flow to UAL.
