It may be FAA legal. It may be contractually legal. But it’s not safe.
I wouldn’t fatigue at the beginning of the shift, I’d fatigue when called out and you are unfit for duty, unless you’re too exhausted to call them back when they buzz your phone or something.
We should be consistent about drawing the line as close as possible to when things become unsafe so CS figures it out and stops subjecting pax to unnecessary danger because scared probies (their fear is MORE THAN justified btw) accept the assignments.
