If you want that city life and all you can afford while trying to build equity is a home in the country, buy that home and learn how the other side lives while you build equity and increase your income and experience which will allow you to afford to move into the yuppy millennial heaven of the city. Pay your mortgage on the double wide until you can sell it for the next kid who is looking for an affordable place to live, and move on instead of making me deal with the congestion, a new city council who is beholden to people in a far off land and home owners association fees.
