Many of the SAPA reps were, prior to being elected to SAPA, members of the ALPA OV. All of them were required to leave the OC and sign an agreement they would not support any organizing efforts. Recently an elected pilot representative walked from the position due to the requirement he sign a number of legally binding documents he felt he could not agree to and still represent the pilots to the best of his ability and without conflict.
Is SAPA all bad? No, of course not, but it is management, the faster people understand this the better.
