I recommend reading Flying the Line, The first half century of the Airline Pilots Association. Also read about the RLA. Getting to know some of the historical facts fellow pilots have had to deal with, will give you a broader perspective on airline economics and pilot-management relations. Lots of material even on YouTube about Braniff, Eastern Airlines and F.L., Continental. America West/US Air merger, NW/Delta merger, Airtran/SWA merger, to name a few.
So when the time comes, you will be ready to take a stand on TA negotiations.
