You may find that something like
this works quite well. I tried going without a rolling bag for a while and found that I preferred wheels. I pack an undershirt, skivvies, socks, and a civilian shirt and pants along with one of
these.
Some pilots use a rolling chart case, which seems to me would work rather well. After you get settled, you might find that you like to bring prepared meals to warm in the aircraft’s oven for lunch. That may require a little more space than the luggageworks bag above and a chart case would provide that.
