Fewer people die of breast cancer than liver cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, and way, way less than lung cancer. Yet a disproportionate amount of funding goes to breast cancer. The American Cancer Society lists double the number of grants for breast cancer than for any other cancer.
What we need though is more pink ties. Good thinking.
I would be more than happy to wear the yellow tie for liver, orange for stomach, brown tie for colorectal, black for lung if it raises money for research. Pink raises money, and until you can show me it comes at the
expense of the other research, have a seat and pipe down.
